The Born of Pancasila

Pancasila is the foundation of the Indonesian state. The name is composed of two words from Sanskrit: पञ्च "pañca" means five and शीला "śīla" means principle or principle. Pancasila is the formulation and guidelines for the life of the nation and state for all Indonesian people.

Pancasila takes the form of the mythological bird Garuda wearing a shield with five symbols inside, each symbol has a meaning from the 5 main points contained in Pancasila. The 3 people who sparked the idea of ​​Pancasila were Dr. Mohammad Yamin, Ir. Soekarno, & Dr. Soepomo

The form of the Garuda Pancasila itself was inspired by an endemic bird from Indonesia, namely the Javanese Eagle (Nisaetus Bartelsi) which lives around Mount Merapi, which is now threatened with extinction.
